In a move to rival the demise of such bands as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Ruptured Rectum, the very fantastic STACKRIDGE have decided to call it a day but will be embarking on a final tour from September to December. Luckily for Sussex folk, the final jaunt will include a gig at the very wonderful Ropetackle Centre in Shoreham-by-Sea. Don’t miss this chance to see for either the first or last time one of the very best bands ever to come out of the British music scene.

Stackridge – The Final Bow Tour
“Truly timeless and uncategorisable” ~ Stuart Maconie, BBC Radio 2
Prog rock, psych, Beatlesque power pop, folk or even the precursors of Britpop? And that’s not even including their early 80s skinny tie New Wave stint in the UK and US top 20 as The Korgis. Either wayJames Warren and Andy Davis – aka Stackridge – are an unmissable live act, with a pedigree that stretches to over 40 years of eccentric, perfect, quintessentially English music.
Aided and abetted by long serving musicians Glenn Tommey (keyboards), Eddie John (drums), andClare Lindley (violin/guitar), they embark on their last ever tour this Autumn.
This is your last chance to see the band that put West Country firmly on the music map of Great Britain way before the ‘Bristol Sound’.
